Hazelwood East High School seniors, Anthony Pawnell, Cornelius Igwe, Paul Springer and Lonnie Howard, have advanced to the final round of the St. Louis Teen Talent Competition on April 12, at the Fabulous Fox Theatre. The competition is produced and presented by the Fox Performing Arts Charitable Foundation.
According to the Teen Talent Competition website, the competition is produced to showcase young talent in the community.
“In the spirit of fostering the emerging talent in the St. Louis performing arts community, the Fox Performing Arts Charitable Foundation is proud to produce an adjudicated competition showcasing the splendidly talented teens of the St. Louis Metropolitan area. Students will compete for college scholarships, prizes and public appearance opportunities.”
Students will be judged on technical ability, stage presence, interpretation and originality. The quartet from Hazelwood East High will perform as the “Super Sick Crew,” a dance crew.
