Hazelwood Highlights
In spring 2012, the Hazelwood Central High School boys’ track team won its third consecutive 4x400-meter relay at the Kansas Relays. The boys’ track team also won the Kansas Relays’ Most Outstanding Relay Team Award; they won the same award in 2008. Tianna Valentine, a Hazelwood East High graduate, won the girls’ 100-meter in 11:66, setting a new record. She is a two-time Missouri state champion in the 100-meter. Valentine accepted a full scholarship to the University of Kansas in February 2012.
