Hello, my name is Shanon Drennan. It is an honor to be the Interim Principal of Garrett Elementary that houses nearly 400 students. This is my tenth year working with Garrett families and students. I came to Garrett Elementary in 2003 as a Literacy Coach and then became the Instructional Specialist in 2007. Prior to that, I taught first and second grade at Brown Elementary. I also taught Special Education students in Wentzville, MO and Sullivan, MO. My goal is to ensure that all children receive individualized instruction so that each child can reach his/her highest learning potential.
I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary and Special Education from Culver-Stockton College and a Master’s Degree in Educational Administration from Lindenwood University. I received my Doctorate in Education from Maryville University.
Garrett Elementary has been recognized as a Missouri PBIS School of Excellence. The Positive Support model has been implemented for the past three years.
