                                             Locating a BOOK        

Look up your topic in the Online Catalog                                                                        
a. Click on the Webcat catalog (grey box with red cat) 
b. Change library from All to Hazelwood Central High School
c. Enter your topic in the search bar
d. Click on Search Everything

                                                   

 Helpful Hint: spelling counts. If you didn’t have success, check your spelling!

Write down the entire call number for the books that you think you will need.                  
For Example: 92 LINCOLN

Follow the Dewey decimal numbers on the shelves (they are in counting order) to find your books.

 Helpful Hint: Once you find the book, scan the other books on the shelf to see if there is something else 
            that might be helpful.

Using the Electronic Databases

1. Sign up at the desk

             Magic Question: May I please use the Internet?

2. Go to the assigned computer

               You are responsible for that computer until you sign off of the computer at the desk!!

3.  Click on Biography Resource Center

 Hint: Once you have done a search, tabs along the top of the results page allow you to choose among
