ACT Information

The ACT is offered 6 times a school year.  Hazelwood East is a testing site for all ACT test dates.   The code to sign up to take the test at Hazelwood East is 221370.  The school code for Hazelwood East is 261-108 and if you are an athlete put the clearinghouse code of 9999 in section O under College and Scholarship Choices.

Fee Reimbursement:  Hazelwood School District will reimburse one ACT fee for each student who is not eligible for a fee waiver, during the student's senior year.  In order to receive reimbursement, students must complete a 6 hour ACT Workshop or the ACT Prep class.  Student's need to sign up for the workshops with Ms. Johnson (in the office on the 5th floor).  The following documentation is needed for reimbursement:

    1)Enrolled in the ACT Prep class or completion of an ACT Workshop (6 hour minimum) for each ACT fee reimbursement.  ACT teachers will submit attendance to the Guidance Office.
    2)ACT Scores-College Board sends scores to the Guidance Office.
 

Fee Waiver:  Students who receive free or reduced lunch are eligible to receive two fee waivers while in high school. Fee waivers are only for junior and seniors.  Students must see their counselor for the fee waiver.

Hazelwood District's Choice ACT:  Eligible juniors will take the ACT on April 1, 2013.  In the spring, juniors will register for the Hazelwood District's Choice ACT during their academic mentoring classes.   

 

ACT Preparation

Hazelwood School District is now offering ACT Prep Workshops at all three High Schools. Students should visit Ms. Johnson in the office on the 5th Floor at Hazelwood East to sign up to attend these workshops. The workshops are conducted after school from 2:35- 4:35. Students may also use a computer program to take a full-length practice test for the ACT or SAT by going online at
