Hazelwood West High School Guidance Department

The Guidance Department at Hazelwood West offers a variety of services.  It's primary service is to assist each student in his/her continued developmental, educational, and vocational growth.  Thus, the student receives information about developing positive self-concepts and interpersonal skills as well as assistance in planning and adjusting his/her classes.  The student also gains information about careers and receives assistance in seeking financial aid and scholarships for his/her post-secondary education.  The guidance staff consists of eight counselors. The HWHS Guidance department welcomes you to our website.  Please take advantage of all the information provided.  On this home page, you will find a calendar with deadline dates for ACT and varies events the HWHS Guidance office is hosting. 

 

Homework Requests: If a student has been or will be absent for more than 2-3 days or if they have been suspended out of school, it is the STUDENT'S responsibility to request homework from the teachers.  To request homework please contact teachers through parent portal.  Give them at least a days notice before picking up the work.

 

 

After School Tutoring: 

When:     Tuesdays, Thursdays 

Where:    Room 135

Time:       2:35PM - 4:20PM. 

Requirements: 1.  Must arrive at 2:35PM

                              2.  Must have pass from teacher to be admitted.
